Golden Month does one thing: confinement care. We specialise in the first month after birth, the time Chinese tradition calls zuo yue zi (坐月子). Everything we make is designed for it, from staged herbal soups to lactation teas and ginger herbal baths.
We work with experienced herbalists and postpartum care practitioners to build each blend around the three stages of recovery: release and repair, regulate and rebalance, then rebuild and revitalise.
Herbs from their true home
Chinese herbal tradition has a word for a herb grown where it grows best: dao di (道地), which loosely means “from its true place”. Over centuries, growers learned that every herb has a heartland, where the soil, the climate and generations of know-how bring out its best. It’s the same idea as Champagne coming only from Champagne.
We source our herbs from these traditional growing regions, directly from China rather than through secondary distributors, so they have the colour, aroma and strength they are known for.
Tested, batch by batch
Herbs grow in soil and water, so they can absorb what’s around them. That’s why every batch of herbs in our blends is lab-tested against Chinese Pharmacopoeia standards, across four groups of tests: identity, moisture and ash, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium) and microbial safety.
Each batch comes with a Certificate of Analysis, and herbs imported into Australia also go through import documentation and inspection. We publish the results for every herb, because you shouldn’t have to take our word for it.

Every pack is pre-measured and simple to prepare, so you can receive care even on the busiest days.
