Every Herb Tested
Heavy metal contamination is one of the biggest hidden risks in traditional Chinese herbs. Most brands ignore it. We don’t, because your wellbeing matters. We test every batch of our herbs, and every result sits well below the official Chinese Pharmacopoeia limits for lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a good gift for a new mum?
Something that makes the first weeks easier. Most new mums are short on time, sleep and proper meals, so a gift she can eat, drink or soak in tends to get used. Our teas, soups and herbal baths follow the Chinese confinement tradition of warmth and nourishment after birth, and come portioned for each day.
Is this a new mum hamper?
Not in the decorated basket sense. Our gifts are boxed packages of dried herbs and bath sachets. If you were looking for a new mum hamper, think of this as the practical alternative: one thing she will use each day, rather than a basket of small items.
Will she have to cook?
No. Each one is quick enough for someone else to make for her: her partner, her parents or in-laws, a relative or a friend. The soup takes about 3 minutes of hands-on time, with a protein added at home, and the tea about 2 minutes to get brewing. The herbal baths just steep in hot water.
Does she need to follow Chinese confinement?
No. There are no rules to follow. The teas are caffeine-free and naturally sweet, the soups are warming daily meals, and the baths give her a quiet moment to herself. Every box includes simple instructions.
Is it suitable if she is breastfeeding or had a C-section?
Yes. Our soups and teas are designed with breastfeeding mums in mind, and they suit recovery after a vaginal birth or C-section. After a C-section, we recommend leaving rice wine out of the soup for at least the first 10 days.
Are there any allergens?
Contains peanuts, tree nuts (walnuts) and soy. All ingredients are clearly listed on each soup label. If you are buying for someone with allergies, a gift card lets her choose.
What if I'm not sure what she would like?
A digital gift card lets her choose for herself. It comes in amounts from $100 to $500 and is sent by email.
Can you send it straight to her?
Yes. Enter her name and address at checkout and we deliver to her door. Order a little ahead if you want it to arrive by a set date.
